Zeezusters
In collaboration with Annika Taylor, I designed and implemented the interactive technical elements for the immersive VR installation, Zeezusters, inspired by Siri Ranva Hjelm Jacobsen’s "Havbrevene".
And also attended the Weekend of Science with this project. The project
My role was crucial in merging physical
interactions with immersive VR technology, designing projected paths to guide
participants, synchronizing dynamic audiovisual elements, and ensuring a seamless
interactive journey between reality and virtual experience.
The installation highlights interconnectedness, responsibility, and care through its
narrative and technological interactions, inviting reflection on humanity's impact on
nature and each other.
The project explores how the feeling of sisterhood can offer
deeper understanding and acceptance of the world’s environmental state.
Participants experience a dual-world narrative—one set in the real world and the other
in a surreal VR environment—guiding and supporting each other as two metaphorical
sisters representing the seas of the world.
